My recreation of a poster from UP

                                                                             AFTER

                                                                               BEFORE                                                                          ORIGINAL

This is the before and after to my "spoof" UP poster. I used Adobe Photoshop to make the poster and i used my friend Robin Johnston to be my Russell.

The way i went around making the poster was pretty complicated to say the least. After spending over an hours worth of work on making the poster, photoshop decided it had enough and crashed. And me being me i hadn't saved it so all was lost. But this turned out to be a good thing as the final design looks far better than the one that i lost.

The actual method i used to make it was as follows:

1. use the original poster as a template and get Robin to try and pose like Russell as much as he could.

2. import the image 6 times and crop it to the following body parts; Head,
Chest, Legs, Left hand, Bicep and fore arm.

3. Remove all images from their backgrounds

4. Morph and transform the head into a disproportional size to the body as this is what most pixar characters seem to have.

5.  Attach the head to the original hat from the poster.

6. do ALLOT of morphing and transforming for the rest of the body parts to try and get them to look like Russell's original pose.

7. Repaint the hose and the background by hand to restore the hose back to the image because my history brush was buggy and wouldn't work.

8. Do the finishing touches like adding a cast shadow (thats why in the sky there are some strange black lines that can be removed but would take allot of effort and time to do so so i left it as i didn't want to ruin the image)

DONE!

Here is a quick screen recording to show you the individual layers that i used and some of the techniques and a VERY Brief display on how i painted the hose!

Thanks for reading!
